Terms of Sale
These terms apply to every order placed through this website. Placing an order means you accept them.

This policy is not finished.
The registered business name and ABN are still placeholders. Fill them in at lib/legal.ts before taking real orders — this notice disappears on its own once you do.
Who you are buying from
TODO — registered business name (ABN TODO — ABN), trading as Outwest Hobbies, of 29B Angus Avenue, Kandos NSW 2848, Australia. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Prices and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. The price shown on a product page is the price you pay for that item — nothing is added at checkout except delivery, which is shown separately and also includes GST.
Your order confirmation shows the GST component of the total. If you need a tax invoice for a business purchase, email us and we will send one.
We try hard to keep prices and stock accurate, but if a product is listed at an obviously wrong price or turns out to be unavailable after you have paid, we will contact you and either honour the order, offer an alternative, or refund you in full. We will not charge you more than the price you agreed.
When a contract is formed
Adding items to a cart is not an order. Your order is an offer to buy, and the contract is formed when we send your order confirmation email. Until then we may decline an order — for example if the item has sold out, or if we cannot deliver to your address.
Stock
Much of our range is single items rather than bulk stock, so a product page showing one in stock means exactly that. In the rare case where two orders reach us for the same last item, the first one paid is the one we fulfil; the other is refunded in full, immediately, and we will tell you why.
Payment
Payment is taken in full when you place the order, through Stripe. We accept the cards and payment methods shown at checkout. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and never reach our servers — see our Privacy Policy.
Delivery
We deliver within Australia only, via Australia Post. Delivery is charged by parcel size; the amount is calculated and shown in your cart before you pay, and orders over the free-shipping threshold shown at checkout are delivered free.
We dispatch as quickly as we can and email you a tracking number when your parcel leaves us. Delivery timeframes after that are Australia Post's, not ours, and we cannot guarantee them. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Please check your delivery address before paying. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong, we will re-send it once you have paid postage again.
Changing or cancelling an order
Contact us as soon as possible. If we have not packed your order yet we can usually amend or cancel it. Once it has been dispatched it needs to be handled as a return — see our Returns & Refunds policy.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, it is limited to the price you paid for the goods.
Age and suitability
Some products — model kits, paints, solvents, adhesives and small parts — are not suitable for young children. Age guidance on the packaging should be followed. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend an account that is being used fraudulently.
Content on this site
Product images, descriptions and the site design belong to us or our suppliers, and are not to be reproduced commercially without permission. Manufacturer names and product codes are the trade marks of their owners and are used only to identify what we sell.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of NSW, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
